At the heart of every school are the classrooms, where inspirational environments support effective teaching and learning. Modular classroom buildings, with climate control and bright natural light, offer all the modern comfort and space required to enhance the experience of every learner, helping teachers manage behaviour and hold attention of the whole class.
A modular classroom building is a pre-fabricated classroom that has been manufactured off site and then transported to itsa school location. It means that a fully fitted-out Portakabin modular classroom buildings can be installed and ready to use up to 70% faster than traditionally built classrooms. Off site construction of the modular classroom buildings means that the disruption and mess of construction is kept away from the school. Modular classroom buildings can be seamlessly joined together side-by-side or end-to- end, as well as mounted to form multi-storey school complexes, giving you flexibility to design a facility that fits your needs.

After the main school buildings had to be vacated following technical concerns raised by the Department for Education, the team at Sir Frederick Gibberd College (SFG) had over 650 pupils to urgently relocate. Of the three schools Portakabin was engaged to deliver for, SFG was the largest and had an extensive list of requirements to ensure standards at the high performing secondary school did not slip.
