Across Europe, many of us are now living under the harshest national restrictions since being first imposed last year. We have been asked by Governments to stay at home as the new coronavirus strain takes hold and potentially overwhelms healthcare providers.

Working across both manufacturing and construction, Portakabin will not be closing its doors.

Derek Carter, CEO, Portakabin

Throughout the pandemic, I’ve been incredibly proud to witness our business respond quickly and with agility, safely delivering customers’ buildings and services despite the ongoing challenges COVID-19 has presented. With the vaccine now within reach for many, we hope that this will be the final stand against this invisible threat.

We have made the decision to ask most of our office-based colleagues to work remotely, as we did so effectively during the first lockdown period in March 2020. Today, your Portakabin representatives are still on hand to support you with any requirements you may have.

Although we are reaching out using technology, we have also put in place the necessary precautions to enable us to deliver our services and expertise safely in person where required.

The teams in our factories, yards and on customer sites; building, maintaining, fitting out and installing buildings, continue to work for our customers, some of which need our support now more than ever.

These operational teams will be guided by the Standard Operating Procedures we have in place to protect each other while delivering these essential roles safely.

I would like to thank all of our colleagues, customers and partners for their on-going commitment and dedication during these challenging times.
