  1. Requirement

    With 2 Sisters Food Group’s growing workforce, their catering facilities were no longer able to provide the space or experience that their factory and office teams deserved. They approached Portakabin, their trusted and preferred supplier, with the requirement for a modern solution that could provide greater capacity and create a welcoming space that their staff could enjoy and take pride in.

    As the existing facility needed to remain fully operational, the challenge was far from straightforward, and every stage would require meticulous planning. Groundworks were complex, with existing services needing to be carefully redirected, whilst the natural slope of the site added further logistical challenges.

    Rising to the challenge, Portakabin delivered high-quality catering facilities with a bespoke kitchen. Incorporating an open-plan layout, significantly increasing seating capacity and creating an inviting space for staff to come together. Every detail was considered to elevate the experience, from custom flooring for durability to climate control for year-round comfort.

    2 Sisters Food Group’s identity was integrated throughout the project, with tailored furniture in their corporate colours, as well as wall vinyl and window etching to refresh and modernise the environment. To minimise disruption, the Portakabin team worked late nights and weekends to ensure that the project progressed smoothly without affecting daily operations.

    The result is a vibrant catering solution that reflects 2 Sisters Food Group’s culture and commitment to its team. Staff now enjoy a bright and comfortable space that fosters wellbeing and connection throughout the facilities.

The previous facility was tired and outdated, so it was time for a change and boy did we change it! Previously the space was boring, bland, and basic. The canteen is now bright, colourful and inviting. The seating capacity has increased with the addition of benches and breakfast bars with mood lighting to create the coffee-shop vibe, with a lovely addition of a downtime zen space. The feedback has been amazing from colleagues; our next problem will be getting them back to work! Portakabin have been great every step of the way allowing us to bring our creative dream to reality.
