Portakabin is delighted to support its charity partners. Making a significant difference is something that we’re able to do by offering longer term support to a charity. That’s why we’re delighted to have partnered with two charitable organisations which will benefit from ongoing initiatives.

  1. The Prince’s Trust

    The Prince’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are struggling at school, at risk of exclusion as well as those who are unemployed. The UK 2018-2023 strategy lays out the direction of The Prince’s Trust in that they plan to help one million more young people to transform their lives over the next 10 years by helping them develop the confidence and skills to live, to learn and to earn, giving them an increasing stake in our economy and society.

    Portakabin is proud to be part of this strategy, making a difference to our society by supporting the next generation.

  2. York Cares

    York Cares is an independent employee-volunteering charity, which brings businesses, employees and communities together to make York a better place. Portakabin has been a member of York Cares since 2014 and employees continue to volunteer in a variety of programs including:

    • Right to Read – 1-2-1 reading with primary school pupils.
    • Big Community Challenge – hands on outdoor team gardening challenge.
    • Children’s University – inspiring 10 and 11 year olds into the construction industry through three unique lessons.
    • Starting Blocks – working with children in care to expand their horizons.

  3. Other charities

    We support many other local charities including Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Rotary Club York, Dragon Boat Race and Martin House as well as getting involved with National campaigns such as British Legion, Macmillan Cancer Trust and Red Nose Day.
