Requirements
Glanbia plc is a global nutritional solutions and cheese group headquartered in Ireland, selling its products to more than 130 countries. The company appointed PM Group to manage the construction of a major new milk processing plant in Kilkenny.
The scale of the programme meant that extensive on-site project offices were required for both Glanbia Foods staff and the construction management team, as well as welfare facilities for the site-based workforce.

Solution
John Clancy, Senior Project Manager at PM Group, says: “The appearance of the new building was extremely important, as it would be prominently located and would provide a vital first impression of the site for any visitors.“
”We believe the quality of on-site buildings reflects on the quality of the work we carry out for clients, so it’s vital that they have real visual appeal. We had used Portakabin buildings in the past, so we knew what to expect in terms of building quality and service. The company’s on-time delivery promise was also an important factor, given our tight deadline, and the buildings it proposed offered everything we needed.”
Portakabin supplied a range of premium-quality modular buildings to meet the various requirements of this prestigious site. The energy-efficient, eye-catching Ultima building system was used to create a large open-plan building, with offices and meeting rooms for around 30 people, fully equipped with IT data connections.
In line with its promise, Portakabin delivered all the buildings on time, ensuring our works programme could proceed on schedule.
