The Charter is one element of the MINDFUL EMPLOYER® initiative which is aimed at increasing awareness of mental health in the workplace and is a voluntary agreement seeking to support employers in working within the spirit of its positive approach. MINDFUL EMPLOYER is a UK-wide initiative run by Workways, part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust.

  3. Mental Health training

  5. Mental health first aid (MHFA)

Portakabin is setting up a network of Wellbeing Champions. These champions will support the organisation’s health and wellbeing vision and will take on the role of Mental Health First Aiders, providing initial support to individuals experiencing mental health issues and signposting them to further professional help. This is a significant step for Portakabin in support of its zero harm approach and giving mental health the same level of importance as physical health.

  6. Health awareness campaigns

Portakabin participates in a variety of physical and mental health awareness campaigns throughout the year. Through awareness campaigns Portakabin aims to provide information to employees on specific health topics, options for support services, and engaging e-learning modules and workshops.
