The Temporary Accommodation Crisis & Our Alternative Solution
Ireland is facing record demand for safe, affordable temporary accommodation. 16,766 individuals, including 5,274 children, are in emergency accommodation as of November 2025 - a 12% increase in one year. Families account for over 2,484 of these cases.
Local authorities across the island of Ireland face spiralling costs. In the Republic, spending on emergency accommodation reached €361 million in 2024. In the North, the Housing Executive spent £39.9 million on temporary accommodation in the year to March 2025, a 16% rise year-on-year.
Hotels and B&Bs typically cost €76–€100 per person per night in Ireland, depending on provider type accounting for 86% of all homelessness-related expenditure by the government.
Our solution offers a rapid, lower-cost alternative to hotels and B&Bs, reducing pressure on local authorities while improving quality and outcomes for those families in need until a stock of permanent social and affordable housing is built.
