The Requirement
With a brand new stadium built next to the huge Murrayfield stadium, Edinburgh Rugby needed to provide toilet facilities for up to 7,800 matchday fans. The facilities needed to reflect the high standards of the new stadium and at the same time provide easily accessible amenities for a large number of fans during matches.

The Solution
Portakabin has a long history of providing high-quality Portaloo buildings for prestigious sports venues. In this case, following the guidance of Building Control, Portakabin provided bespoke layouts that allowed for an ambulant cubicle in each of the male and female buildings. Working with the main contractor, Malcolm Construction, and the project management consultancy,
Axiom, the project was completed against the back-drop of the Covid restrictions. The finished stadium means the club now have their own permanent home for their team and fans allowing them to build their fan base, visitor numbers and create better support for the club.
Portakabin has been a great professional company to work with on this project. The service from the very start has been top quality and we continue to have a good working relationship with them. The facilities they provided for our new stadium are excellent and our supporters really appreciate the standard of facilities.
