Project Features

  • 8 Portakabin buildings
  • Peaceful environment for exams
  • Repeat order delivered annually
  1. Requirements

Breckenbrough is a Non-Maintained Special Educational School for boys aged between 9 and 19 years old. It offers day and residential places for students with a range of complex needs including, Autistic Spectrum Condition, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and other complexities.

The school needed a reliable supplier to deliver a repeat order of purpose-built exam rooms that would facilitate the low sensory environments required for students to achieve academic success.

  2. Solution

Eight Portakabin Pacemaker buildings were delivered, each comfortably sitting one student and an invigilator. This independent space allows students to complete their exams in a peaceful environment which a traditional classroom or hall would not allow. Thanks to the flexibility of the procurement route offered by Portakabin, the school opted for a repeat order to be delivered annually for the academic exam period. Portakabin offered security in the consistency of service and quality of product to be delivered each year at a specified timeslot for minimal disruption to the pupils.

As a small school with circa 70 students, the service Portakabin offers means we can receive the best product on an annual basis without funding for permanent buildings year-round. These bespoke buildings are top quality and support our goals to provide supportive and low stress environments for our students.
