NEW PORTAKABIN SOLUS BUILDING PROVIDES PRECISE SOLUTION IN JUST TWO DAYS

After experiencing a severe fire, Yeovil Precision Castings needed a quick and efficient solution for its sudden lack of office space.

The company decided that a modular solution was by far the best option and put its contract out to tender. After a two-way pitch, Portakabin was selected to provide high quality office space to house clients and top-level management staff. The decision was made due to the speed in which the leading modular building company could deliver accommodation that met all Yeovil Precision Castings needs.

Sean Wheeler, Project Manager at Yeovil Precision Castings said, ‘We had specific requirements and criteria that needed to be met as the building had to be delivered extremely quickly, but it had to be of a high enough specification to provide an office for the Managing Director and his visitors. Access to data points was essential as was the overall look of the interior and exterior, all of which had to be extremely professional, high quality and attractive.'

In just two working days Portakabin supplied two of its newly launched Portakabin Solus buildings; the most architecturally advanced relocatable building available for hire.

The Portakabin Solus building is the first and only building of its kind to be designed without telescopic legs, giving it excellent aesthetic appeal. It also features large, square cornered aluminium framed-tinted windows and fully glazed doors, providing high levels of natural light, which is a key factor in staff motivation and productivity.

In addition, desk-height access to power and data communications points makes the office more practical and comfortable to use for occupants.

The Portakabin Solus building was delivered with the pioneering Portakabin Customer Charter, which promises to deliver buildings on time and on budget.  The Charter states that if Portakabin fails to deliver a project on time and to the agreed contract sum, the customer will be entitled to one week's free hire for each day it is late*.
